Wow. Wow. Wow! These two! Lovely, relaxed, realistic, dynamic, organized, stylish, beautiful, game for anything, genuine and kind…some of the best people around.
From Kamloops Chris and Nicky decided to have a intimate winter wedding with just their families and closest friends at Sun Peaks Resort in the adorable chapel at the top of the mountain, it was beautiful.
Leading up to the big day we had incredibly cold weather, and for someone who is almost always cold I was certainly a little nervous. But the weather was in our favour, fresh snow the days prior, a crisp cool morning to keep everything light and fluffy and then just as we started taking portraits at the top of the mountain the sun bursted out of the clouds and we had absolute magic!! Excitement levels went through the roof! Chris and Nicky are always up for doing what it takes to get dramatic photographs (just see their engagement photos from Wells Gray Park!!) and this was no exception! Dancing among the ice crystals these two braved the cold as we frolicked all over Sun Peaks Mountain – Love, adrenaline and excitement keeping them warm!
After taking the chairlift back down the mountain we had a quick warm up by the fire at the Sun Peaks Grand in the village. Returning after to the Ski Chalet with their families for an intimate evening of celebrations. This day was perfect.
Chris and Nicky, thank you so much for having us as a part of your day. You two are truly a force to be reckoned with, I am excited to see the adventures you will get up to in the many years to come. Congratulations you two! You are the best.
